Raiding the Healers Den Carbucketty walked into the healers den, barely looked around to consider if there were any other patients or if the healers were in there. He didn't care if they gave him shit for barging into the den and stealing any of their supplies. But his quick look upon entering and his other senses had told him that the den was empty of all bodies. Slipping into the backroom, he grabbed some ointment, gauze and pain-killers. Carbucketty admitted to himself that it was easier with no one around to lecture him about stealing, not that it mattered either way. The white, black, and brown tom walked off with the supplies. He walked away with a clear conscience. They weren't going to be sold for drugs on the street. And had someone been in the den, they would have used those supplies on him anyway. So it was a win-win. Running into one of his old gang-members that nearly beat him to death years before, was not a plus. He briefly debated telling Munkustrap about the encounter. His old gang knew he was still alive. However, he didn't think they'd care enough about his sexual habits to terrorize him and the other jellicles. They had other things they dealt with then declaring war on another tribe. A bigger tribe. He wasn't important enough for that. He knew he'd have to watch himself when he left the yard though. He knew they didn't like leaving things unfinished. So Buck knew he'd be in for some trouble with them when he was alone. Content with knowing it was his problem alone, he made the decision to keep quiet about his encounter. Carbucketty had never told anyone that he was part of a gang, or the events leading up to him being found practically dead. And telling Munkustrap or any of the other protectors meant revealing his past and what he went through. Oh yeah, he definitely wasn't going to be telling anybody. He sat down a few meters away from the healers den, and popped the pain-killers first. It was an herbal concoction that was suppose to manage pain. He heard a sound to his left and he cocked his head to the side. They hadn't announced themselves. And while he didn't think any of the jellicles were rude enough to spy, he knew he wasn't well liked either. So he cleared his throat, his eyes not bothering to look up from the task at hand. "Go gawk at someone else." |
