Personality:
Admetus has a good head on his shoulders. He can see through any bullshit, and usually reads between the lines. He has always been an intelligent kid, but he got trained by Macavity to be better then that. He has on several occasions set up or framed other henches to take the fall, and has schemed up his own plans right along with Macavity. They've worked together on some projects, but Admetus tends to think of himself as freelance. He's also smart enough to seek out help and advice when things start to work in the opposite direction that he wants them to go in. He's been able to blames small fires that he causes on others. Still, he has his dumb moments, like everyone does. However, half the time that he will act dumb, will be on purpose to gain further intel on others. Or he's working some sort of ploy/angle.
To put it bluntly, Admetus is an arrogant tom, and a tad on the narcissistic side. As he does a lot of thinking about himself before putting anyone else's needs, thoughts, ideas, etc first. Not that he doesn't listen. But his first thoughts are always selfish, and always about himself. If there's trouble and there's enough time or a way to get everyone he's with to safety, he'll do it no problem. If there's not, then one better go with the saying 'Every man for himself.' Because Admetus will expect everyone to think of a way to save themselves, since that's what he'll be doing. A lot of his arrogance stems from his home life and how he was raised. He was raised up as the eldest and only acknowledged son of the Hench Tribe's Leader; Macavity. Which came with all the pomp and circumstance. And a lot of ass-kissing suck up Hench's, trying to win favor by giving Admetus whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted, without much chance of punishment. So he was bound to develop an ego, due to his environment.
When he's not working with Macavity, scheming for himself or for others, and when he's not focused on his own well-being, he can actually be a decent, friendly and fun tom. In fact, he's downright charming. Some might view him as flirtatious, depends on their personality and perspective, but Admetus doesn't view it as flirtation. He views it as him just being friendly. He's nice enough, can hold a conversation and is always willing to suggest a an activity to keep them and himself entertained. This is not always a good thing. As Admetus holds a lot of Macavity's traits; namely deceptive, manipulative, and suave. He has been known a time or two, probably a lot more then that, to charm his way with queens and toms alike, with something else in mind then a causal touch and interesting conversation. So when he is conversing with another hench, jellicle, house-cat, or stray, they all risk falling into whatever trap, or scheme Admetus has planned. But being the son of the leader with has much influence as both Macavity and Admetus hold; its a chance many are willing to take if it means getting promoted within the tribe, or getting recruited. Some queens and toms have also tried getting Admetus into bed, thinking they can hold some power over Admetus or gain some power for themselves. (And while Admetus has been seen with many cats on his arm, no one has ever seen him getting intimate with any of them).
The dusky/scarlett long hair tom is often labeled and talked about around the Warehouse as a violent tom. His reputation is of violence and Admetus has never done anything to stop that talk or those rumors. Largely, he received this reputation from when he would come home from the slums of the city. He has been known and seen coming into the warehouse with: black eyes, ripped out chunks of fur with barely visible bruises underneath, scrapes, singed fur, cut lip, slashes on his body, and dried blood matted and crusted in his fur(as well as fresh blood running out of any recent wounds). He is not an inherently violent tom, but violence, anger, rage and adrenaline seem to be the only way to get to his mystic powers. And it was the only way he could learn how to control his ability in a safer way. However, it's almost an addiction as he frequently signs up for fights with gangs in the slums of the city. He enjoys the rush of the fight, the adrenaline rushing through his veins and the inevitable surge of power that comes as his body produces the chemical to create fire. He often feels like he's burning from the inside out and he uses that pain to make others suffer. He keeps his need for violence in a part of the city that violence exists 24/7 at. So Admetus believes the exploration of his dark side is being managed in a safe environment.

History:
Old Deuteronomy got around in his youth, and his middle-age. In fact he's still rumored to have romantic relations with other queens, presently. However, his most notable relationship, was his attraction to Grizabella. It is said that Grizabella was one of the dividing factors between Old Deuteronomy and Macavity. It is rumored that she had been intimate with both toms once upon a time, but eventually left the jellicle tribe. No one really knew the real reason behind Grizabella leaving, though everyone was quick to throw around theory after theory as to why. Truth of the matter was, Grizabella came from a respected family and lineage. She was high-maintenance, with incredibly high standards.
She left the tribe shortly after discovering she was pregnant. She was embarrassed over her behavior and it leading to her pregnancy. Her family would have disowned her, if they found out about her pregnancy. It was truly a scandal, and Grizabella stayed with a local friend in the city until she gave birth. Admetus was the eldest of the litter, twins with the second born; another boy. Grizabella had a third child in the litter, born last and it was a little girl. She knew, despite having stowed away and given birth in private that rumor alone would be enough to ruin her.
She planned to take the girl, and raise her as her own. Knowing she'd never have the life that was due her, she was adamant to give her little girl all that and more. The twin boys she cared nothing about. She was spiteful and angry enough with Old Deuteronomy, that she gave the younger boy to Old Deuteronomy. She told him that he was the only boy she had, though did allow him to hold his daughter once. She left the boy with Deuteronomy, and left with the girl. She was feeling just petty enough to give the older boy, Admetus, over to Macavity. Informing him that she had gotten pregnant after one of their nights together and that Admetus was Mack's.
Macavity took the boy, gave him his name, and didn't see Grizabella again (until the Jellicle Ball). Macavity chose to raise Admetus himself, instead of relying on one of his Henchmen to do it, or to pawn the boy over to someone else. Admetus was his, so why shouldn't he raise and mold the boy into what he wanted. Admetus doesn't remember too much of his childhood, so supposes it was much like any other. And for the most part, Admetus always remembered Macavity being there for him when he needed his father. Though it was during his teen years when he realized Macavity needed to lead his tribe, more so then be there for all his aches and needs.
Admetus was a self-sufficient boy growing up, and like any teenage son of a tribal leader, he had the arrogance to think he had run of the tribe. Or at the very least that he could get away with anything. And like normal, he began acting out. Not over Macavity, or against Macavity. But with some of his higher ups. He was testing his limits, to see what he could get away with, and what limits Macavity's followers had. In his own way, it was Admetus being a punk teenager, and judging who was truly loyal, what their faults were, etc. He was always smarter then the other Henches gave him credit for in his young age.
He did get into trouble with one of the older Hench members after lighting some of their storeroom (filled with food and supplies) on fire. He hadn't seen him light it on fire, but he was there to see half the room on fire and Admetus standing there in shock, amusement, and amazement. It was the first time Admetus' powers manifested. Admetus couldn't believe it, in fact it was the Hench yelling at him for starting the fire and had begun to hit him after he put the fire out that brought Admetus back to his senses. He got a few good punches in, but experience outweighed youth, and the older Hench dragged him back to Macavity.
Admetus is confident he could have gotten out of a punishment or lessened his punishment if he revealed how he had lit everything on fire. However, he wasn't entirely sure it had been real, and if he told his father, he was worried he'd have more expectations and responsibilities within the tribe then what was already expected of him. He kept quiet about his assumed ability, and took his punishment. Ironically, the older Hench also received a punishment for beating Admetus almost senseless. Admetus doesn't know what happened to him, just that he was never heard from again.
He continued to use his powers and learn to gain control over them, in private. But couldn't access them, unless things were dire. So he began getting into fights in the streets in order to gain access in order to use his abilities. Over the years, he has learned to control his abilities, on his own. He's only had two other times where someone almost discovered his abilities, but like the older Hench when he was a teenager they assumed he had started the fires or burned others with other objects and chemicals; then through his own body. To this day, Macavity still doesn't know about his mystical ability.

Powers:
Admetus is a Pyrokinetic. He has the ability to create fire, or that is what he appears to be able to do. Which he can. However, in reality what he is really capable of is excreting a chemical at the palm of his two paws. This chemical is a highly flammable substance. When he rubs his paws together, or any form of friction occurs, combustion happens. The chemical, combined with friction can cause tremendous amount of heat, and Admetus would be able to burn anyone he touched after directly using his gift. With more effort, Admetus can flick the combustible chemical onto the ground, thus creating fire. Unlike most pryokinetic's, Admetus cannot control or manipulate fire, all he can do is create it. Using his ability to burn others, usually only as a last ditch effort in self-defense, is the only part of his ability that he feels comfortable enough using.
Weakness(es):
Due to his very useful and powerful ability, Admetus has several weaknesses. His ability can only be triggered when his body has a certain height. Usually when he is stressed out or very angry, the adrenaline rushing through his body, also creates this chemical that is the source of his ability. He does have conscious control over his abilities, so that is not the problem. Quite the opposite. However, because his power is directly linked with his emotional state, it can be difficult to achieve. And when he is in this emotional state, his power can sometimes get the better of him. When Admetus is in this state, he can remain in this rageful state long past his actual anger is gone. Due to the primal nature of his ability, when he taps into his powers he is susceptible to them. His anger can fuel the instinctual side of his powers, thus giving his power the ability to control him. While the chemical coming out of his paws create a high resistance to heat and fire, thus rendering his paws pretty much fireproof, the rest of his body is not. When he does use his gift he runs the risk of burning himself as well as anyone else. Because he can only create fire and not control it, he runs the risk of the fire getting out of control and burning or consuming him. Which is why he very rarely creates fire.
