ETCETERA

Family: Carbucketty (brother - unknown), OPEN
Personality: The easiest and quickest way to describe Etcetera's personality is an unrestrained mania. She's always had abundant energy and doesn't seem to have much of a dimmer switch on that energy. Etcetera is almost always in constant motion in some form or another. Finding her completely still and motionless is a huge red flag, though as soon as someone finds her that way she'll immediately begin moving and smiling, acting the part of her normal exuberant self. She's not comfortable with others knowing about her insecurities - one because she likes to pretend they don't exist and two because Cettie is so rarely taken seriously that she assumes whatever worries she has will simply be brushed off and seen as silly.
Because throughout her life, Cettie has always been the exuberant and outgoing queen. Quick to make a comment in hope of receiving smiles (and attention, not that she'll admit it) or simply joining in with whatever the other cats her age were doing. As a young kitten Cettie never had much of an individual identity - she was usually just another kitten in the group, going along with what the others were doing and often taking things to the next level. Not that it was always a good thing. Case and point - Tugger. Sure Etcetera had admired him, but the other kittens fully fanned and fawned over him so she went along with it - a little too much and too loudly.
Despite being the silly, and easily excitable queen - because as a kitten, any attention sent her mood over the moon - Cettie has a heart of gold and sincerely cares for her friends and her tribe. Even though she doesn't like to admit it, she does know that she probably would have died had they not found and took her in. And she'll go to pretty much any length to see her friends smile or to try and help them if they need it. She doesn't have very many limits on what she'll do for those she cares about, except maybe what she isn't physically capable of doing.
However as she's grown older Cettie has worked to channel her energy in better ways - usually through her tumbling and acrobatic skills, resulting in a rather lean physique. She hopes to be able to actually be taken seriously when she wants, something that to her the entire tribe seems to not be able to do. Cettie is also attempting to figure out exactly who she is, something she's finding quite difficult as so many times she simply adopted likes and habits from those around her. Not all of her attempts are so successful either. She's still a queen who tends to over indulge and take things a little to far - whether it's sweets, tumbling practice, or alcohol (which thanks to a near complete lack of supervision and some misguided attempts to prove to herself she can run with the older cats has happened several times).
Overall while Etcetera is less innocent than others may assume (see misguided attempts at being taken seriously in the city) she's still quite an optimist and a whirlwind of energy and exuberance without much direction.
History: Unfortunately Etcetera has no idea as to who her parents are, she was dumped in the Junkyard as a kitten with no trace as to who brought her there. She'd like to think that they purposefully left her in a Junkyard that was inhabited by a tribe of cats, but she's aware that that is most likely wishful thinking and that in actuality Cettie is lucky someone managed to find her. Because it was purely by chance that the junkyard her parents had dumped her in was inhabited by amicable cats. The pair sure hadn't cared whether or not their daughter would actually survive or not, so long as she wasn't their burden and responsibility it didn't matter to them what happened to Etcetera. She was more or less raised by the tribe rather than any one specific cat. Cettie was never quite the main focus of those cats that lived in the Yard, but she was looked after enough to ensure her continued health. She was the extra responsibility, the further kitten to be watched just like the others. However that didn't stop her from occasionally falling through the cracks in terms of reinforcing 'appropriate' habits or behaviours.
From an early age Cettie always had an abundance of energy which made her a bit difficult to deal with as a kitten. Especially considering that the quick lessons or reprimands of one adult were often either shrugged off or contradicted by an other. This contradiction often lead to Cettie practically ignoring these reprimands as soon as they were finished being explained to her. Near boundless energy and no real direction to channel that energy into created one whirlwind of a kitten. However unbeknownst to the adults some of the antics that she got into a kitten were Etcetera's way of getting the attention and approval kittens often want, and although she had no way to articulate it and a conscious awareness of it, Cettie had a deep rooted fear of being forgotten and abandoned again. That if she didn't manage to attract the attention of older cats in the yard with her antics that she would be in danger to essentially fading into the background and being left on her own again. But she was always careful to keep her antics in line with what was accepted interests lest she make too many ripples and be forced to leave - a fear she never told a soul as a kitten.
This meant that forming her outgoing personality was almost necessary to young emotional well being, sure she wasn't always remembered or attempted proprietary lessons lost steam, but they did acknowledge her energy. She thrived on that attention while young. The lack of supervision and abundance of energy had her venturing into the city quite young and she gradually explored more and more as she grew older and braver. But Etcetera always returned to the yard; it was her home after all. Despite her being outgoing, Cettie's attention and energy never had a concrete direction - she'd just direct it into whatever held her attention at the moment. However that was usually whatever the cats around her were directing their attention and energy at - like the attention the other kittens had with Tugger. The only problem - Cettie was always the one to take something too far and have to be scaled back (which wasn't always successful).
As she's grown older Cettie has attempted to channel her energy differently, focusing on her acrobatic and tumbling skills to work out her boundless energy and trying to figure out the things that she's actually interested in and what she just always went along with. It's all a very confusing and ongoing process for her. Etcetera still often ventures into the city hoping that time out of the yard will help her figure things out.
