- Two Faced - To put it simply, Deme is one of those popular girls at high school who will be all lovely and friendly to your face but will rip you into shreds behind your back. In the yard, she puts on a front to appease the older cats, especially the matronly Jellylorum and Jennyanydots who see her as their little project. They call her things like: angel, sweetness, charming. She is all of those things - on the outside. She puts on a smile and a proper accent to cover up her hateful thoughts and rough voice. Every morning she practices her vowel sounds while she combs her fur to perfection. She locks her black collar around her neck and pulls her shoulders back to find
- Loving - While loving isn't something that you would attribute to someone as cold as Demeter, she is not a marble statue and in fact loves deeply. So much so that if you're lucky enough to considered one of her special ones, she's willing to make great sacrifices for you. She believes betrayal to be the ultimate sin
- Ambitious - Having been born and raised on the streets, she has always longed for something better. It was why she was first drawn to Admetus until she actually got to know him. He was the son of a leader - someone who could elevate her from mere minion to She wants to be seen as more. She wants more than lust. She was adoration and respect. When cats respect you, they'll do anything to protect you. Of course, most Jellicles are willing to protect their own anyway but Demeter doesn't understand that. It is always something that she has had to work for and will continue to work for it.
- Paranoid - It will come as no surprise that Deme is deeply distrustful of almost everything. It is what fuels her ridiculous double personality act and her ambition. She is scared. With one wrong step she believes she'll be sent back to the gutter. If she lets her guard down for one second and her accent drops, she'll be seen as a scam. As scum. One hair out of place and all her hardwork would be for nothing.
- Calculating - When you're as paranoid as Demeter, you need to know what you're doing. She knows she is not strong physically so uses her mind and beauty to achieve what she wants. She is careful with her words and actions. There are only a few times where her fear of Macavity has overruled her fear of being an outcast such as the last ball. It was a risky thing to do really - purely selfish and not at all planned.
