Family: Macavity (father), Jennyanydots (mother), Deuteronomy (uncle), Admetus (half-brother/cousin), Sillabub (half-sister)
Personality: If it wasn’t for Electra’s curves and what few feminine attributes she has, some might consider her a tom. She is extremely boyish in nature, with short, choppy hair and a lack of tedious grooming. In addition, Electra’s mannerisms are very tom-boyish. They way she sits, her posture, her sideways smirk, her interests – she has very few attributes that walk hand and hand with her gender. She isn’t the sort of queen most would find outwardly attractive (unless you're into that androgynous, boyish look), but honestly, Electra doesn’t care. She makes that very clear. Should you inform her of a spot of dirt on her hip or an imperfection in her hair, Electra will just quickly run her hand across what ever it is and dismiss it without caring to know if the physical imperfection was fixed. She is the type of queen that doesn’t mind a good romp in the mud, and if you piss her off she’ll give you a good handful right in the face. She has her mother's short temper. In addition, her idea of a good time includes wrestling, pouncing on the unaware, and keeping her nose in everyone else’s business. She is also somewhat of a daredevil. Electra is one of those oh yeah? To afraid to do it? Well watch me sorts of gals. She’ll climb the tallest tree, jump from one height to the next and participate in about any dare. Granted, Electra isn’t unreasonably dangerous. She has brains, and knows when too much is too much, but at the same time, she has a thirst to prove herself, and in order to prove herself, Electra feels the need to conquer anything remotely difficult or physically straining.
Electra has a desire to become a protector of the tribe, and with that desire comes an interest in tribal affairs. She wants to know what is going on at all times, even if it is none of her business. She’ll poke and prod to get as much juicy gossip as she can, because she assumes that all gossip comes from some truth, right? Of course. In fact, Electra will get defensive if someone tells her that something is none of her business, because to her, everything is her business. Protectors are supposed to know what is going on, yeah? Well, even though she isn’t technically a protector, she wants to be one, and feels as if she has just a much right to be informed about the on goings and proceedings of the tribe than anyone else.
Electra is extremely “pleased” with herself. Anything you can do, she thinks she can do it just as good, if not better. She doesn’t take kindly to failure, and will sulk for hours, hell, even days on end if things don’t go her way. Failure is a step backwards – a step away from being the queen she inspires to be. She thirsts for positive acknowledgement and encouragement, and doesn’t care to be ignored. You could say that even though she is a very proud and stubborn queen, Electra is very self-conscious and dependant on the approval of others. She wants to be needed, and ultimately wants to help. She develops a deep fondness of those who include and acknowledge her, as well as a deep loyalty. In other words, pay attention to her, and she’ll like you.
Additionally, Electra is very sociable. She will entertain anyone in conversation, even if said someone is someone she doesn’t care much for. She just likes to talk, albeit she isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. She can be overbearing. Electra wants to know the “who, what, when and wheres” of every situation, and sometimes her intensity can make others uncomfortable. Just tell her to “breathe” and she’ll catch your drift. Really though, Electra’s intentions are good, and her desire to be helpful is admirable, but with age and experience comes knowledge and maturity, both of which she is lacking in. Her youthfulness causes her to often be brash and self-righteous, but Electra has a good heart and will hopefully learn with time.
History: Electra was undoubtedly an “oops” – a love child forged out of a few one night stands between her father and her mother. Whether or not there was any love between her parents, she’ll never know, but she has always been well aware of her parentage and it is something (to be quite frank) that she isn’t ashamed of.
Electra is the sole daughter of Macavity and Jennyanydots. To her understanding, her mother and father were somewhat of a “thing” during the time that Macavity was still apart of the Jellicle Tribe. Somehow, during the twisted love triangle consisting of Deuteronomy, Grizabella and Macavity, Jennyanydots was there to offer comfort to a very confused and angry Macavity, and provided a “release” for him. Macavity however, was long gone before Electra’s birth, and Leccy was raised by her mother.
Electra earned her name due to the “lightening bolt,” or shall I say “electric” markings running across her spine and across her chest. Jenny found it fitting, and while said markings are sure signs of her who father is, Jenny has always been honest with Electra and has not tried to keep Electra from knowing the Macavity that she knew prior to his detachment from the Jellicles. That is why Electra doesn’t hate Macavity. In fact, as mentioned above, she is oddly proud of who her father is. She thinks it gives her leverage and adds to the over all boyish vibe and “tough” persona that she has developed for herself over the years.
At a young age, Jenny became aware that her daughter wouldn’t be a feminine-esc queen. Electra played far too rough with her fellow female kittens, and often complained when she wasn’t allowed to rough house with the young toms. Even at a young age, Electra usually came home with a bruise or a cut, and has a scar around her right ankle from a dog bite. No matter how many times she scolded Electra for her apt to find trouble, Leccy continued to somehow find it, and still does.
As she grew, Electra became extremely interested in the protectors of the tribe. following them around whenever her mother was preoccupied. She’d watch them spar and watched how they interacted with each other, and she did her best to copy. One of the Jellicle protectors actually took interest in the tom-boy kit, and took her under his wing, per say. He allowed Electra to shadow him, and even showed Electra a few “moves.” Jenny knew that Electra was probably a hindrance to said protector, but graciously thanked him numerous times for being kind to her unruly young princess.
When Electra wasn’t tagging along behind said protector, Leccy trained on her own. Even though she isn’t technically an adult yet, Electra’s years of quiet trainings has fitted her with muscle that most queens do not have, and a well developed figure. Her desire is to be the first female protector of the tribe. While some might laugh at the idea, Electra doesn’t care. She’d gladly put them on their backs to shut them up. She has the opinion that she is just as qualified as any tom, and is eager for a chance to prove herself.
When it came to the Jellicle Ball, and the attack brought on by her father, Leccy didn’t involve herself due to the fact that she still has an attachment to her father, despite the fact that she has never met him. She has a keen respect for “blood,” and while Electra would gladly fend off one of his goons, she doesn’t know if she has it in her to attempt to harm him.
Additional Notes: As a developing teen - soon to be "adult", Electra's hormones are raging. She has a taste for both toms and queens.
