Personality:
Niviera is foremost an emotional queen. She is sensitive to the emotions directed at her and around her. The ones directed at her, she can't help but to take personally. And she will respond emotionally. This can be both good and bad. But she does not shy her emotions away. She is very revealing with them. Sometimes too much. She is seen as temperamental due to her emotional highs and lows, and has limited friends because of it. Ironically, despite being an emotional queen, she keeps herself emotionally distant from others. She's not an impenetrable wall, she still makes connections to others, befriends others, and can work well with others. But those friendships where you'd die for the other, the friends that you trust implicitly, those individuals you'd do anything for, and falling in love with toms or developing something significant that could lead to love, are all things that Niviera keeps away from. It's subconsciously because of the hurt of Odynn's "passing" (That she won't form those types of friendships; knowing she wouldn't be strong enough to handle it if anything should happen to end that friendship), and she does not want any tom coming into her heart and replacing those feelings she had reserved only for Odynn.
On top of everything else, when her emotions aren't in swing, she always seems to give off this sad aura. And it's not as though she is sad because of any one thing, and may not even be consciously aware of why she is sad. However, due to her unhappy aura, others pick up on it either right off the bat or fairly quickly. With her words, actions/movements, or just with her body posture, it becomes a pretty obvious thing. And it's something others, especially Henches, don't like to deal with. So during these times she usually finds herself alone, and alone is the very opposite of what she needs when her mood plummets to the depressed. It was always a morbid sense of irony, but the fact is that the majority of individuals can't stand to be around others with depression; as if they're contagious. It's when she is alone that her self-loathing will start up. She'll analyse her whole past, everything she's ever done and place the blame all on her. All filled with what if's, should have, and could have's. She has never been into self-harm, not drastically at least. But if she doesn't eat a few meals, doesn't sleep for a while, or fills her depression with nip, or alcohol; whose really going to notice?
Due to her lengthy times alone during her saddened moments, it further proves to her all her insecurities in herself, and is added fuel to her low self-esteem. Her insecurities of course stem from her depressed mother and an absentee father. And though Odynn did do a lot of damage repair, and was good for her. His death brought all her old insecurities back, and created some new ones. She knows it's not Odynn's fault, but her own for being so co-dependent on him and not strong enough to be independent. Her knowledge of knowing her weaknesses, is yet another black-mark, and added stress on her exhausted mind. But she always believed that life was what you made of it, and seeing how crappy hers has turned out, means that the only one to blame is yourself. And so she is blaming herself. Nivi also has low self-esteem, but it is not focused on her outward appearance. She knows that she is outwardly beautiful; she's used that beauty to gain intel on cats in the past. Her problem is with who she is underneath that beauty. Toms only ever seem to be interested in her appearance, which hasn't helped. And others that have gotten to know her have never expressed the desire to want to know more. Or if they have her own mind won't accept that that's what they really wanted from her. She knows she's been a mess before she met Odynn, and since his death. And believes its a mess that no one wants to get near.
All her negative traits aside, Nivi does have some redeeming qualities. Niviera is a very calm and compassionate queen. She hadn't always been, but she always had the potential to be something greater than the hate and anger she always showed. Odynn did bring out the best in her, and though he's gone now, she can't even be mad at him for making her feel more than the negative emotions. However, her calming nature and voice can often come across and be mistaken for her sad disposition. So she is often seen as sad, even when she's content. This has not deterred her from showing others compassion when it is needed, or revealing that she has a compassionate side. She tries to be helpful to those in need. And with those in her tribe, she continues to be or wants to be helpful. Nivi is scared that she isn't pulling her weight in the tribe, and doesn't want to be discarded because of it. She's often felt discarded by everything in her life; even somewhat Odynn, though she knows its not his fault. So if anyone needs a job, errand, or just a second opinion, then she'll jump at the chance.

Even when she thought she hated him, she was still loyal and faithful to him; never going to anyone else, nor spending time with anyone else. Even now, when she's with another tom, she feels like she's cheating on Odynn. But her loyalty and faithfulness isn't just limited to her relationships. Nivi is a faithful and loyal Hench cat. Even knowing that she's in a tribe with a broken moral standing; a tribe she would have wanted nothing to do with back when she was happily involved with Odynn. But The Henches took her in during a dark time in her life and continue to take care of her. Their more then just a tribe to her, and she won't do anything that will put her tribe or tribe-mates in danger. If she feels that what someone is asking of her would betray her tribe or one of her tribe-mates, she will not do it. Nivi might even turn on anyone asking her to betray/hurt her tribe/tribe-mates. Niviera's most redeeming quality however, is her sincerity. She is very real and genuine. Having been hurt in the past, Nivi tends to keep things true. She'll lie when it's needed of her, usually only for a job Mack, Admetus, or the higher Ranking Henches ask her to do. However, in her down time, she will not lie, and tries not to appear hypocritical if she can help it.

Niviera's parents met and fell in love in London, England. Her Father was actually born in Africa, but wound up in London with his humans on a business trip. They went every year, and the first time was when he had met the lovely Annetta. They grew close while he was in town, and they were both quite upset when he had to leave. He had no idea he'd be there again in a year, or that he'd meet her again. But that was exactly what had happened. And every year they'd find a place to meet up and their friendship blossomed into something beautiful. They fell in love. The last time he had seen her, was shortly after they had gotten intimate. He always planned to ask Annetta to come with him the next year. Though he was prepared to run off and live in Germany, if only to spend the rest of his life with her.
The following year, Annetta never showed up at the usual rendezvous. He spent the entire time visiting all their haunts, anywhere they ever had a date, even at the place they had sex at. She was nowhere. He was crushed, feeling she had moved on, or had been killed. And that he had missed his opportunity the year before. He didn't show up the year after, because he died shortly after getting back to Africa, of a broken heart. Annetta hadn't showed, because a few months prior she had given birth to a little girl, and had and needed to take care of baby Nivi. However, Annetta brought Niviera out with her the following year, so that she could meet her father.
Annetta was unaware that he had passed away from a broken heart, and waited at their spot for three days. When she could no longer neglect Nivi's needs and had to face the fact that she'd never see her lover again, she left and took Niviera home. Niviera was raised completely by her mother. Nivi never knew her father, this was true, but in a way he left such a big hole in Annetta, that his presence was always felt by Nivi; in a very negative way. When she was younger she didn't quite understand what it was, but grew to hate that hole. It was almost a living conscious thing that zapped her mother of her energy, and of her light; because Niviera saw the happiness in her mother's eyes go out a little each day. Saw her slowly fade and die in front of her. She learned when she was a teenager that the absence of her father is what caused this sickness in her mother, and it left Nivi bitter. Resenting her father, resenting males on principal, and hating her mother for not being strong enough to survive without the presence of a male in her life.
Annetta committed suicide when Niviera turned eightteen; When Nivi was old enough to care for herself. But Niviera knew her mother's spirit, or soul, whatever it was that made her her had died long before her physical body did. Niviera did of course mourn for her mother, she wasn't heartless, but she felt that she had mourned for the death of her mother years ago; shortly after Annetta stopped responding to her. Niviera spent the next two years hating any tom that she came across, bound and determined that she wouldn't end up like her mother; sad and pinning over a tom that didn't deserve it! She was civil, comfortable, and happy around queens; for the most part. But any that had that maternal personality quickly became associated with her mother, and she found herself distancing herself from those queens.
Most of her queen friends fell in love with toms, and stopped hanging around Niviera, not wanting her to scare off their "toms" due to her attitude. That was how Odynn found Niviera; Alone, isolated, upset, and angry. Of course things were rocky, Ody was a male, and that was all Nivi needed to make a snap judgement and hate him. This didn't stop Odynn's caring heart to continue to try and reach out to her and help her. It was slow going, but Niviera finally found out that she cared for him when she woke up one morning and spent the morning and half the afternoon looking for him. She half expected Odynn to pull away from her once he had done his good deed and got her to realize that toms weren't the enemy; that she could befriend toms. But just the opposite happened. If anything the two became closer and Niviera grew scared when she learned she was falling in love with him.
For Odynn had never displayed that he felt anything beyond friendship for her, and she still resisted her own feelings, even after she consciously became aware of them. Feeling that it was a trap, and that all love eventually would end with the same result of her deceased mother. He was also much older than her, and she had never had any experience with toms her own age, let alone how to go about showing affection to an older tom, without it coming across as creepy. She was surprised with how much she had in common with him, despite their age difference, and Ody became all she could think about. When this happened, she felt suffocated, she was scared shitless, and Odynn managed to find her curled in a ball sobbing some hours later.
Her feelings got revealed then, and he admitted to having the same feelings for her. But he was insecure about starting anything with her. In his opinion, she was a gorgeous young queen who could be with any tom she wanted. And he didn't want her settling for an old, unattractive tom like him. This was disheartening to her, because she wasn't shallow enough to want a tom her own age, or a tom that was "hot"; she wanted him! Odynn did what he could to soothe her, and friendly comfort quickly escalated into a passionate kiss. Neither one could deny the chemistry, and emotions between them and they did what came naturally to them. They became and exclusive couple, going out on the town, having dates, and spending as much free time as they could together.
They were happily together for over a year, and it was the best year of Niviera's life. They were at the stage where Ody was debating making them an official thing, by asking Nivi to become his mate. There was even some hesitant talk and hints over having kittens and if they were ready for that. Niviera found his awkwardness on how to approach the serious subjects endearing and loved him all the more for it. However, this were progressing too well, and fate was always a jealous bitch. There had been no balancing negative's surrounding them, and fate determined it was time to break up their happiness. They were in a bar, on a date, when a small fire (Thank you so much Admetus) started in the backroom. The fire had soon blew out of control, before any of the patrons had time to act.
Niviera was pushed out of the way by too many panicked cats and had fallen pretty hard onto the ground. She had passed out, and remembered thinking that that was it. She had gotten separated from Odynn in the rush of panic, and her last thought was a selfish; but I'm too young to die. But Odynn had gone back into the flames to save Niviera, and had gotten her to safety. Niviera woke up safely away from the fire with nothing worse then a headache and minor concussion. She held out hope for a few weeks afterwards that Odynn also made it out and was out there injured and/or hurt. And that it was a matter of time before Odynn would come walking back through the door and they could continue the life they had begun to plan for themselves.
After a while, Niviera stopped expecting him, and shortly after that she stopped looking for him when she went outside. Consciously, Nivi has come to the realization that Odynn died in that fire, and most likely died saving her. But a small part of her still believes he's alive and has this hope that she'll run into him again someday. She hates herself for feeling that way. And when she catches herself looking out the window or off into the Horizon for Ody, she curses herself for turning into the one thing she didn't want to become; her mother.

**Note: Odynn did not die. He survived, but endured burn scars. His horrifying appearance caused him to leave Nivi, in the hopes she could be with someone better and more handsome then he was. I would love it, if someone wanted to pick up Odynn and play him; but it's not a necessity. (And I doubt anyone would want to, but PM me if you do.)
