.DEUTERONOMY.
What most didn’t know, was the Deut occasionally roamed the streets for homeless jellicles in need of a decent place to stay and food. It was how he had built up his tribe. When he had taken over, the junkyard had been relatively active, but not nearly as active and bustling as it was now. It was one thing he was proud of - one thing he could say he did to improve the tribe when he passed the torch on to his son. He just hoped Munkustrap would do the same.
Though this particular night, with the moon full in the sky, the middle aged tom roamed farther than he usually did. His eyes weren’t technically the best, but with the clear night sky, he could see far better than usual, making the trek easier on him. Deut knew not to wonder too far. While this was still technically Jellicle territory, henches were spotted around these parts as well. Deut wasn’t afraid of running into one of them - he was quite fit for his age - but he was keen on avoiding a confrontation.
Sighing, Deut glanced up at one of the open windowed balconies across the street to admire a young siamese beauty fasting lazily across the railing. He grinned, nodding his head to her in greeting, though remain courteous and blinked before he stared too long. She seemed a bit young for him from what he could tell, but nevertheless, Deut still enjoyed the company of a queen or two, and like to appreciate the opposite sex’s form. He even (now in his older years), found a few toms to be appealing. It had been an odd transition, but who was to say it was wrong? He didn’t think so.
With a slight bow of his chin, Deut turned from the queen and proceeded down the sidewalk, eyes aware of his surroundings.
