CHARACTER NAME Jellylorum

• APPEARANCE
a cream and tan calico with rust, black and brown stripes. pretty and well preserved but not a head turner like some of the younger Queens.
Family: Gus (Father) Adelade (Mother deceased)
Personality: a notorious wall flower, Jellylorum has a reputation for being a bit....stuffy. responsibility and the nurturing care for others has become a way of life for her. she is a little hidebound and concerned with what is proper. Jelly is a spinster and something of a stick in the mud when it comes to frivolous partying, after all SOMEONE has set a good example for the kittens! but she is certainly not without a sense of humor.
she is a bit shy and prefers to stay out of the limelight, though as seen on some occasions like the Ball she is willing to step up.
Jellylorum has become accustomed to seeing her own self worth in terms of the care she gives to others.
History: Jellyorum has always been in the shadow of her famous father, not that she minds or has even given it any thought!
she is Gus's daughter through Adelade, one of his rather numerous mates. while he and her mother toured with the troupe
the young Jelly grew up in and around the Healers Den treasuring the times when they returned and wintered with the Tribe.
though she was great friends with her brother Romeo, she remained resolutely neutral during the dispute between him and Gus over Romeo's mating with a carnival showcat.
Jellylorum has made a place for herself as a Matron and caretaker within the Tribe, a position that she gladly shares with her dear friend Jennyanydots.
the two of them serve as caregivers for the tribe, taking care of the injured and sick, nurturing the tribes kittens particularly those whose parents are busy with other pursuits, thus Jelly has found herself in the role of spinster aunt, for even the toms of her own age tend to see her in a motherly light!
which has rather put a damper her chances for romance.
most of Jellylorum's romantic history resembles the junkyard itself, a landscape of missed opportunity's, forgotten dreams, and the occasional car wreck.
it is not that she begrudges the time and care that Gus or the Kittens need. it's just that there are times when Jelly thinks that it might be nice to have some of her own, not just someone else's on loan, of course that is just the moment when Gus will do something to make her realize that she HAS a kitten of her own, but he's NOT likely to grow out of it!
